The CAP post-2013 -Summing up conference on the public debate

Following on from the CAP post 2013 debate in which people were invited to submit their views to the European Union on the future of European agricultural policy. A conference has been organised for people to hear some of the results from the public debate.

The proceedings from the “CAP post 2013″ Conference which was held in Brussels on the 19th and 20th of July in Brussels are now available.

The conference aim was to bring together the varied elements of contributions presented during the public debate period and to provide the opportunity for further discussion around the following broad themes:

• Why do we need a common agricultural policy?
• What do citizens expect from agriculture?
• Why reform the CAP?
• What tools do we need for the CAP of tomorrow?
