International Leader Youth Seminar: let’s make the county shine and thrive

7 Jul 2010

Local Action Groups have been invited to the International Leader youth seminar. The seminar will take place at 8–12 August 2010 in Tartu Health and Sport Centre, Estonia.

Up to 6 participants from each LEADER action group. Each youth group must be accompanied by one youth worker whose role in the course of the seminar will be to support his/her group during various activities.

The youth seminar provides a unique possibility to meet other young people (participants come from different European countries), participate in joint activities and learn from each other’s experiences – that all combined with exciting events and field trips in Tartu area. 5 days full of activities help to build valuable long-lasting relationships.

Each seminar day will offer a variety of activities organised by one of our many cooperation partners.

  • The first day (August 9th) will take the participants to the FOREST TRAIL where they can learn about nature and make first connections with each other.
  • The afternoon will be dedicated to music and anyone can try their hand at playing some instrument – this is what the concept of BANDCAMP is all about.
  • On August 10th, we will start planning and building the FUTURE VILLAGE – the participants can let their creativity flow and hopefully we’ll get lots of innovative ideas!
  • On August 11th FIELD TRIPS to various exciting places in Tartu area will take place. Back at the campsite, the participants can enjoy the programme rich in activities, including various sport games and competitions. The evenings are for enjoying music and dance.

International LEADER Youth Seminar is organised by Tartu Rural Development Association. Our cooperation partners who have actively contributed to the organisation of the youth seminar include: Rural Economy Research Centre, Tartu County Sports Federation, non-profit association “Kodukant Tartumaa“, Tartu County Youth Council, Victory Trainings, LAG “Kodukant Läänemaa“, Ruumi Loomine OÜ, Noorte TV (Youth TV), South-Estonia DMC.

Participation fee: 130 EUR per participant (the fee includes all programme together with meals and accommodation).

The Deadline for Registration is 22 of July!
